HOW WE WORK
The Consideration Phase:
If you want to discuss elements of your trading process, you have strategically decided it’s time for a change or from a robust management perspective you just want to review your policies and procedures then we consider you to be in the initial or consideration phase.
At ERGO Consultancy we are always happy to have a very discreet no obligation/no fee exploratory conversation around the subject, feel free to get in touch.
The Review
If you conclude that there is something to investigate our work begins, whilst certain parties may have preconceived thoughts about the issues this where we investigate them, usually by working in house and observing the process taking place. There is no judgement at this stage, we are merely there to observe the status quo and report on it.
The Research Phase
Often there will be a research element after the discovery phase because many times we find ways of using existing resources (software, people, systems) to increase effectiveness, compliance, and reduce manual input and errors. Time spent here will usually highlight the easiest, cheapest improvements and often can reduce spending by avoiding new systems and implementation costs.
Redefining the Goal
Usually the desired outcome gets set in the consideration phase; sometimes it shifts during the review. What is important here is to clarify again the required outcome. Most often this is a very clear and quick process.
The Strategy
Usually there are at least two answers under the ERGO Consultancy system.
The first answer will focus on getting from where we are now to the desired outcome using the resources we currently have in house; this methodology has the advantage of making most participants feel safe, and has a value because employees often don’t like change!
The second is usually presented as the “clean sheet” approach. Here we consider the whole organisation as it is now, and then evaluate the function we are reviewing. The question we pose is how the function under review look would if we were to start it today with a clean sheet.
Almost always there will be some differences between the two. The important observation is that neither is intrinsically more right, but we have now created the important distinction of choice. We can now pick and choose the best elements of each answer to build a strategy from.
Our Report
ERGO Consultancy will provide an analysis of the issues and propose alternatives, solutions and recommendations for each topic; these will be backed up with researched data and statistics and rated according to the importance of each point.
